GAUNT
This punk quartet from Columbus, Ohio, pulls together a perfect combination of the asocial lyricism of Sister Ray, the nasty fuzzed-out blare of the Angry Samoans, and the crudely recorded WHAM of the Pagans.
A damn solid 14-song full-lenght.
Recorded in Januray and May 1994 with Steve Albini, it bursts forth with Gaunt's patented ROUGH-edged pop(ish) punk that should appeal to distorto-punk fans of the New Bomb Turks AND to those more into the Buzzcocksy end of pop punk.
